I'm currently running a PC with a Ryzen 5 5600 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, a GTX 1080 graphics card, and a B550 Phantom motherboard. I noticed that the RTX 5080 is on sale for €250. Is this upgrade worth it?

Just to clarify, there's no way the RTX 5080 is that price. If you’re looking at the RTX 5060, it might be worth considering the 9060XT instead. It has a PCIe X16 interface and performs similarly, plus the 16GB version would be better even though it's pricier.

You’re probably looking at an error because the RTX 5080 is typically 16GB and definitely not being sold for €250. Make sure to double-check the details before making any decisions.

It sounds like you might be looking at the wrong card since the RTX 5080 should not be that cheap. If you're actually considering the RTX 5060, then yes, it would be a significant upgrade. The 5060 can perform almost twice as fast and offers benefits like DLSS for better frame rates.
