Hey there! Recently, my house experienced a power surge, and now my Nintendo Switch isn't outputting to the TV. I can charge the console while it's docked, but I can't get any video to display on the television. I've tried different HDMI cables, but it's still not working. It's tough to find original cables for the first model since most stores only stock the ones for the second model. Does anyone know if the newer power adapters or cables would work to connect my console to the TV? Thanks in advance!

It seems like you might need a new dock for your Switch. The HDMI cables used are generally standard, so there isn't anything unique about them. Keep in mind that the Switch doesn't support 4K video either, which is less of a concern when troubleshooting.

I tried using a different HDMI cable, but when I connect my Switch to the dock, it just charges the battery. The screen stays blank, and it suggests I use the original power adapter.
