Hey everyone! I just picked up a second-hand ASUS ROG Strix 380Hz monitor, and I'm looking to get better performance in games like Valorant and CS2. Currently, my PC maxes out at around 300 FPS in CS2, and I'm wondering what I should upgrade to achieve a stable 400+ FPS. Here are my current specs:
- Gigabyte B760M D DDR4
- Intel i5-12400F
- T-Force Delta 2x16GB 3200MHz
- Western Digital SN730 1TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVMe
- MSI Ventus 3X RTX 3070 8GB
- MSI MAG A650BN 80 Plus Bronze
Any tips on what parts to change would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

One solid suggestion is to update your BIOS first, and consider upgrading your CPU to an i5-14600K or an i7-14700. If you’re using the stock cooler with your 12400F, you’ll definitely need a better cooler for the 14600K as it can run hotter.

Thanks for the tip! I'm using a Jonsbo CR-1000 EVO with the 12400F; do you think it's good enough for the 14600K?

CS2 really relies on the CPU, and your GPU should be up to the task, but upgrading to at least an i5-14600 would help a lot. Just a heads up, avoid using stock coolers with these newer chips for optimal performance.
