I've been searching for a reliable Linux distribution for my 2014 Mac 17 27" desktop, but every one I've tried—such as Ubuntu, Fedora, and even Omarchy—has given me stability issues. Omarchy was the best so far, but it still crashes randomly every few months, forcing me to reinstall or switch systems entirely and lose all my progress. I'm hoping for some solid recommendations that might work better. Any suggestions?

What issues are you experiencing with those distros? Fedora is generally stable from what I've seen. If you're looking for another option, I'd recommend trying Linux Mint—it’s worked really well for me with no issues at all.
You might be dealing with some hardware that Linux doesn't fully support, or there could be a minor issue that Windows is handling but Linux isn't. I advise exploring different distros with unique foundations, such as OpenSUSE, Mint, Arch, or even Manjaro.
If everything is crashing on your machine, the problem might not be the distro but rather your hardware. It could be failing components that are causing these issues. I would suggest getting your hardware checked out.
Have you tried a good old Debian? It's known for its reliability.
Consider trying out Debian with KDE Plasma. It tends to be pretty stable and might work well on your hardware.
