I recently bought a new monitor that has both HDMI and D-sub inputs. While the display looks fantastic on HDMI, I'm facing a strange issue. Whenever I try to open programs like Windows, Firefox, or even Word, they only appear in a small pinned window rather than in full size. The same thing happens when I use the D-sub, but the quality isn't as good. I've already tried updating the drivers, but the problem persists. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

You may also want to check if the programs are opening on the wrong display. Sometimes, apps remember their last position, so try dragging them to the main monitor. If they still won’t maximize, check the settings for each app to ensure they’re not launching in a pinned window.
It sounds like your display settings might not be configured properly. Try right-clicking on your desktop, selecting 'Display settings', and check if your monitor is set as the main display. Also, look for the option to change the resolution to the recommended settings for your monitor.
