Should I Choose the 8GB or 16GB Version of the RX 9060 XT?

I'm trying to decide between the RX 9060 XT 8GB and 16GB models. My goal is to get a graphics card that lasts at least five years, but I want to avoid overspending. I'll be gaming at a maximum of 1080p and I don't plan on using ray tracing. The types of games I play are generally not very demanding on the GPU, including emulators, 2D games like Celeste, fighting games like Tekken 8, and hack-and-slash titles like Devil May Cry 5 and Ninja Gaiden 4. Given my usage, is the 8GB model sufficient, or would it be wiser to invest in the 16GB version?

If you want to future-proof your setup, definitely go for the 16GB. Plus, it's not that much more expensive. You’ll appreciate having that extra VRAM soon enough!

If you can swing it, go for the RX 9060 XT 16GB. It'll give you more headroom for future games, and trust me, you won’t regret that extra memory down the line.

For your current needs, the 8GB could work fine, but if your gaming habits change or if newer titles come out, you’ll likely wish you'd gotten the 16GB. It’s better to future-proof.

The 16GB option seems like the better bet. Even though you play less demanding games now, it's good to prepare for future releases that might require more memory.

Honestly, if you want your card to last over five years, grab the 16GB model. Games are only going to demand more VRAM, and the 8GB might not cut it a few years from now.
