What’s the Best New Computer You Can Get for $600?

I'm on the hunt for the best new computer I can buy within a $600 budget for a relative. It could be a laptop, desktop, or an all-in-one (though I'm not expecting much for that price). Either a Mac or Windows works, but they already have an iPhone, so compatibility might be a plus. They already have all the necessary peripherals since this is just an upgrade. Any recommendations?

For laptops, the Lenovo Ideapad is available within your budget and offers solid specs. It’s known for being reliable for everyday tasks!

I suggest looking into refurbished computers. There are plenty of used machines, like those reconditioned Windows laptops that were part of business leases, available for $200-$500. They usually come with a warranty and decent specs, which makes them a great value!

You should really consider what they'll use it for. If it’s mainly for watching YouTube, you can find decent mini PCs online for around $250. For productivity, a good laptop with a decent CPU would work too. Overall, you have plenty of options, depending on the use case!

If you're leaning toward a Mac, the Mac Mini with the M4 chip is a solid pick. It's compact and powerful for most everyday tasks and fits within your budget. Just make sure to check if it comes with everything your relative needs!

I recommend the Dell Inspiron 5645 laptop. It has a great 16" display and an AMD processor. For the price, it’s versatile enough for daily use and even light gaming. I use mine daily and it handles everything I throw at it well!

Yeah, Inspirons give you a lot of bang for your buck! I do some light gaming on mine too, and it works surprisingly well.
