Experiencing Windows Focus Issues – Help!

Lately, I've been running into a frustrating problem where my Windows system randomly has focus issues. About every 2 to 5 minutes, it 'freezes,' meaning I can only interact with the app that's currently open and nothing else—no taskbar access or hover effects. The weird part is I can still navigate using my keyboard. The only temporary fix I've found is hitting Ctrl+Alt+Delete and canceling that, which just works for another few minutes. This issue persists even when no other applications are running, but when they are, it's usually Discord, Medal, WhatsApp, or Steam.

It sounds like there might be a conflict with explorer.exe or some background process rather than a total system freeze. When you run into this, try restarting explorer.exe from Task Manager—it usually helps. Also, consider disabling overlays from apps like Discord and Nvidia, check your startup applications as one might be grabbing focus, and run 'sfc /scannow' to check for system file issues. I've seen similar focus problems arise from buggy background applications.

What programs do you have running in the background? Sometimes one of them can take focus away from the active window. If this happens even when you have no apps open, it might not be an app issue, but it's good to check.
