I'm facing a really strange issue with my PC that I hope someone can help me with. Even after a complete shutdown at night, it powers itself back on every morning at exactly 7:11 AM. This isn't just sleep mode or hibernation—it's a full shutdown. I've checked various settings in the BIOS, including options for Power On By RTC and the rules for waking from sleep, and I've ensured that Fast Startup and Hibernation are disabled. I'm running an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D on an ASUS TUF GAMING X870-PLUS WIFI motherboard with Windows 11. I've already tried disabling wake timers and scheduled tasks, and I even enabled ErP Ready in BIOS as a last attempt. Still, I can't pinpoint the cause. A clean shutdown is logged, and it just boots back up at that same time. It's driving me nuts! Has anyone experienced something similar with ASUS boards, especially on AM5 / X870? What did you discover, and how did you fix it?

Sounds like your CMOS might be acting up. Try reseating it or resetting the BIOS settings to default. I've heard of others having similar issues, and sometimes a BIOS update can help too. Just make sure to take note of your current settings before you reset.
Check if you have any power scheduling options in your BIOS, or if there's a setting for the PC to automatically start once it receives power. It might be something as simple as a power flicker that triggers it at that same time every day.
I checked those already. In BIOS, Power On By RTC is disabled and Restore AC Power Loss is set to Power Off. It really feels like some firmware-level trigger with it happening at the exact same time.
Is your PC connected to a UPS? If so, it may think it's running on battery power and is shutting down according to your settings. Try disabling the UPS in Device Manager or unplugging any USB connection to it. This could resolve the issue.
Reread the post - There's no issue with automatic shutdowns in the post. The pc is off and is spontaneously turning on, not the other way around.
First off, try turning off any Wake On LAN settings in your BIOS. Sometimes these can trigger the PC to power on unexpectedly. It's a quick fix that might just solve your problem!
It's also worth checking if there's something like a Windows Update scheduled for that time. Those can sometimes cause systems to turn on unexpectedly. You might want to consider disabling automatic updates temporarily to see if that helps.
Yeah, I had a similar issue before, and it turned out to be related to failed update tries.
Have you checked the Event Viewer to see if there's a log showing what might be initiating the startup? It could provide some clues as to what's happening.
One simple solution could be to just unplug the PC after you shut it down. It sounds silly, but it can actually stop any power feedback that might be causing it to turn back on. Plus, it counts as a solution, right?
Sometimes, your genius scares you, doesn’t it?

Thanks! I'm definitely looking into that now as it seems like a logical next step if none of the easier solutions work.
