I've got a Dell Precision 5860 workstation and I'm not very tech-savvy. I recently took out the graphics card, and I'm looking for guidance on what steps I need to take to turn it into a gaming PC. Any tips would be appreciated!

You mentioned you pulled out the RTX 4000. If you were using that, your PSU must be able to support high-end GPUs, especially since the 5860 models are quite powerful. Don't forget to consider your CPU too! What’s the model? That'll affect your gaming performance as well.
First off, you'll want to check what power supply unit (PSU) you have. The base model typically comes with a 750W Platinum PSU, which is pretty solid for most GPUs. Considering you already removed the old graphics card, you should be good to install a new one. Just ensure it fits and that the PSU has the necessary PCIe power cables for it! Let me know what GPU you’re considering, and we can go from there.
I can confirm that these workstations can handle a lot! I’d recommend looking into something like an RTX 3060 or 3070 for solid gaming performance.

I’ve got the Intel Xeon w7-2475X with 20 cores. Is that okay for gaming?
