I accidentally spilled about 100 ml of water on my laptop keyboard. I immediately unplugged it, turned it upside down, and cleaned it with a microfiber cloth, following all the precautions. I even checked the key membranes with cotton swabs and everything seemed dry. After letting it sit upside down on a paper towel, it turned on after about an hour without any issues. I plan to take it to a repair shop, but I'm anxious to know if my motherboard could still be at risk of corrosion. Should I be worried, or is it safe to wait for repairs?

It's great that you acted quickly, but an hour might not be enough. Ideally, you should let it dry for at least a day or two, preferably with airflow to help. Corrosion can take time to develop, and taking it apart for thorough drying and cleaning is important. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, definitely take it to a pro, but be prepared that some shops might hesitate to work on it if it's not dried properly. Getting a professional opinion isn't a bad idea though!
Definitely worth considering disconnecting the battery and letting it dry for a full day if you can. Water can cause issues later on, even if it seems fine now. Make sure to mention everything you did to the technician so they can take the right steps when repairing it. Good luck!

I understand the risks now! I already contacted a repair shop, and they said they would help me out, but I think I will pay for quicker service just to be safe.
