Hey everyone! I've got a gaming setup with an R5 5600X, 3060 Ti, and 16GB of RAM running at 3200MHz. I'm curious if this setup is good enough to play games at 1080p or 1440p on Ultra settings while maintaining at least 60 frames per second. What do you think? I'd prefer sticking with an AM4 motherboard for cost efficiency. Any upgrade suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My build is pretty close to yours with a 3060 Ti and an R5 5600. I'm planning to switch to a 4060 Ti next year and possibly upgrade the CPU too. If you think the R5 5600X will hold up with a 5070, that could be a solid path!
It really depends on what games you're playing. For something like CS2, your setup should be fine. But for demanding titles like Expedition 33, even a 3080 struggles at 1080p on high settings! Just keep that in mind when thinking about your upgrade.
Interesting! I'm currently playing Crimson Desert at 1080p with DLSS, and I get around 70 fps, dipping to 55 sometimes. How do you think I'd do with something more demanding?
I ran Expedition 33 on my 3090 at 4k, and yeah, it was a challenge. It's wild how much power some games need!
I had a similar build with a 4060 and upgraded to a 9070 XT, and I've been super happy with that choice. I didn't need to upgrade my CPU since the RAM shortage kept me in a tight spot, but for most games, the current CPU is adequate. Just make sure to consider your budget before making any moves!
That's good to hear! I definitely want to stay within my budget, so it's helpful to know that I might not need a CPU upgrade right away.

Yeah, just wondering if the 5600X will bottleneck with a 5070. Anyone got thoughts on that?
