My mom had her iPhone 11's display replaced at a local shop because the original was too pricey. After the replacement, the phone wouldn't turn on. It shows the Apple logo for a moment when I charge it, but then it just doesn't boot properly. I followed some step-by-step guides and pressed the volume buttons along with the power button, and it turned on for a bit, but the battery was at 1% and it wouldn't charge at all. In the settings, it says the display and battery aren't recognized, and the battery percentage is stuck at 0%. Now my mom wants me to fix this issue so I can have the phone back. Any advice?

Sounds like the local shop didn’t connect the battery properly or might've damaged it during the display swap. Honestly, I'd recommend going back to them and having them take a look. They should fix any problems they created.
If the repair shop caused this issue, they should definitely fix it free of charge. In the future, if you're considering repairs from non-certified folks, just know it could lead to more headaches. Sometimes it's worth it to go straight to Apple, despite the high costs, because you know it's done right.
Wouldn't it be better to just replace the battery if they messed that up too?
