I'm looking to put together a solid budget PC build that can handle 1440p gaming without breaking the bank. I've been through a few options before but kept changing my mind due to costs. Prebuilt systems are also pricey, so I'm planning to go back to building my own. Here's what I'm considering so far:

- **CPU:** 5800X3D
- **GPU:** 7800XT
- **RAM:** 32GB DDR4
- **PSU:** SAMA GT850BK Black 80 PLUS 850W
- **Storage:** 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- **Fans & Case:** Undecided yet.

I would really appreciate any advice, especially regarding the fans and case. Also, I'm open to any suggestions for upgrades that still keep me under the $1400 mark.

The 7800XT is a solid choice for a GPU, but keep in mind that the 5800X3D might be hard to find at a reasonable price due to scalping. If you can manage without the extra cache, the standard 5800X is a cheaper alternative that's worth considering. The rest of your build looks good overall!

You might want to rethink the 5800X3D. It's quite rare now, and the prices from resellers are just as steep as getting a new AM5 setup. Look for bundles on Newegg; they sometimes have great deals like a 9600X with a B850 motherboard and 16GB DDR5 for around $500. Also, check out the Lian Li Lancool Mesh II case for fantastic airflow and grab some additional fans to keep your system cool.

For 1440p gaming, your current combination is solid. The 7800XT will give you awesome performance. If you want to save a little, consider the 5700X3D instead—the real-world difference compared to the 5800X3D isn't huge. Just make sure to get a case with great airflow and at least 3-4 decent fans!
