I recently got a new Samsung phone that's only a few months old, and it's been working perfectly until today. I set it down on the grass while I played tennis for about 30 minutes, and when I returned, it was completely unresponsive. It won't charge or turn on at all, showing no signs of life. I tried the usual restart method by holding the volume down and power buttons, but that didn't help. I had also placed it under a white shirt for shade, thinking it would prevent overheating, and when I checked back, it had cooled off. Does anyone have any ideas on what might have happened or how I can fix it?

It sounds like a frustrating situation! Since it’s under warranty, you should definitely submit a claim and get a replacement. There's not much we can do here, but that’s your best bet! Good luck!
Was it particularly sunny when you left it? I know you tried to cover it, but direct sunlight can beat down pretty harshly on phones. Just trying to figure out if heat might be a factor here!

Yes, it was sunny, but I thought a white t-shirt would help keep it cool. It wasn’t a super hot day either, so I didn't expect it to overheat.
