Help! My PC Won’t Boot After Sleep Mode

I recently got a new PC about a month ago, and it was working perfectly until last night. I put it into sleep mode, and when I tried to wake it a few hours later, it wouldn't boot up. The fans are cycling on and off, and there's no display, but the RGB lights are still on. I had it checked out by a repair shop, and they confirmed everything was fine with the hardware and software, plus it started up normally during their tests. However, once I bring it back home and plug it in, I run into the same issue. I've tested multiple outlets and even switched out the power cable, but nothing seems to work. I'm starting to wonder if there's an electrical problem at home or if I should be looking at something else.

Have you thought about testing your PC at a friend's place or somewhere else? Since it worked fine at the shop, there’s a good chance that the issue is electrical or related to your home setup.

I haven’t tried any other house, but I did test it at the shop with different plugs and it worked without problems.

It seems like your PC is actually booting up, so this could be a strange setting issue. I had a similar problem where my NIC wouldn’t power up after sleep mode. Have you tried plugging it into a different monitor or even a TV? Also, make sure the monitor settings are okay.

I did try a different monitor, but it was the same situation. The guy at the shop adjusted it so it wouldn’t go into sleep mode at all, so I’m not sure if that’s related.

Are you plugging your PC directly into the wall outlet or are you using a surge protector?

It's plugged directly into the wall outlet.

Did they use your monitor at the shop? It might be a monitor issue instead of the PC itself.

No, they didn’t check it with my monitor, but mine was working fine at home.

So, when you were at the shop, it booted into Windows without any issues?

Yes, it booted up completely normal.
