I've recently been using an older iPhone 11 that I got as a hand-me-down, and until yesterday, it was working fine. Suddenly, it started shutting down and resetting multiple times. The only way to get it to work again is by plugging it into the charger, but each time it resets, the battery drops significantly — for instance, it went from 64% to 14% just today. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue and how I might fix it?

Also, make sure your iOS is updated to the latest version. I’ve heard that running older software can sometimes cause issues, but in most cases, it boils down to the battery's condition.
You might want to check the Battery Health settings. Go to Settings, then Battery, and look for Battery Health & Charging. If the maximum capacity is below 80%, it's probably time to replace the battery.
Could be linked to the battery too. If it's an older phone and you see a 'Service' warning under Battery Health, that's a clear sign you need a new battery.
