I'm looking for a Linux distribution that's user-friendly and compatible with office software and gaming. I've been away from my computer for a while and found that Windows 10 is no longer supported. I'm not ready to switch to Windows 11, especially with all the AI features that seem overwhelming. I'd appreciate any recommendations for a good starter distro!

If you're interested in something different, check out Aurora by the makers of Bazzite. It's a general-purpose OS and might suit your needs!
Linux Mint is a fantastic option for beginners transitioning from Windows. It's specifically designed to be user-friendly and is very stable.
Zorin OS is another great choice. It has a Windows-like interface, so the transition will feel more familiar for you.
I moved from Mint to CachyOS and love it! It's user-friendly for both gaming and office tasks; seriously worth trying out.
If you're looking for something with a robust community and lots of support, definitely go with Ubuntu LTS. It's reliable and widely used.

Absolutely agree! Linux Mint makes everything super easy to navigate.
