My Computer Randomly Shuts Down After a Power Outage—Is It the Power Supply?

Hey everyone, I'm facing a weird issue with my computer. Recently, there was a circuit breaker trip that wasn't related to my PC, but the computer was on and running at the time. After that incident, my PC wouldn't boot up initially, so I turned off the power switch on the PSU, and then it finally started up again. However, it seems to shut down randomly, mainly when I start using it for heavier tasks. Sometimes it doesn't even let me into Windows before powering off completely. The only way to turn it back on is to flip the PSU switch off and then on again. I'm really puzzled here—is my power supply dead? What other options do I have to troubleshoot this? Thanks for any help!

It’s tricky when it starts up and runs for a bit. It sounds like the issue might be deeper than just the PSU since it can still boot. Usually, if it’s completely dead, the PSU is the main suspect. But in your case, the fact it shuts down under load could indicate there’s more going on, maybe with the motherboard or another component.

That’s what’s baffling me! After the first crash, it won't turn back on until I flip the PSU switch. Is that a sign that the safety features are kicking in? If that’s the case, it must be related to the PSU, right?
