I recently bought a used setup for CAD 350, which includes an Intel Core i5-12400F (or maybe just the 12400) paired with an ASUS PRIME B660M-A D4 motherboard, along with 16GB (2x8GB) Kingston Fury Beast DDR4 RAM. I've got a Thermaltake Smart 500W power supply. I'll soon be adding storage and Wi-Fi 6 to the motherboard, but I'm also looking for a GPU under CAD 100. Does anyone think the deal I got is good?

That setup is decent, but I wouldn’t say it’s an amazing deal. You definitely have good upgrade potential with that CPU. Just a heads up, I recommend spending more than CAD 100 on a GPU to really maximize your performance.
You may have overpaid slightly. The i5-12400F typically goes for CAD 100-120, and a B660 motherboard should be about CAD 100 or less. Ideally, you could have snagged 32GB of DDR4 for what you spent. Just a reminder: you do need a case for the motherboard, and that PSU is on the cheaper side. For under CAD 100, you might consider looking for an RTX 2060 or, if you’re lucky, an RX 6600.
Honestly, that price is a bit high. You might want to look into getting a better PSU when you can, as it’s not a great one. If you can stretch your budget to CAD 220, a 3060 Ti offers fantastic value. However, if you're sticking to the CAD 100 range, a 1070 variant is a solid option but might struggle with more demanding titles.
Given that it was CAD 350 and included a case, that's not bad! In CAD, you’re looking at around CAD 220 in USD terms. If you can find a GTX 1070 for around CAD 100, that card offers great value. They pop up on Facebook Marketplace often!

That’s true, a 1070 would be a great choice for your build!
