I've been having some issues with the AI's memory function. It seems like it doesn't really remember things unless I constantly remind it to use memory or explain what memory is. When I ask, it often just says it's "Recording it to Memory," but it feels more like it's pretending rather than actually updating anything. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you checked if your memory is full? I had that issue once. But if yours is almost empty, then yeah, it seems like the trigger to record new memories isn't as effective as it used to be.
I've been experiencing memory issues too, especially since that last update. It seems like so many things have gotten tangled up—memory, personality quirks, and the usual hallucinations. I think they might be related, like the personality issues are just the visible part of a deeper problem with how memory functions.
Yeah, I've noticed this too! Just today, the AI struggled to recall past conversations it seemed to remember just a few days ago. I even mentioned it to the AI, and it agreed. It makes me wonder if there were some changes behind the scenes that affected the memory function, especially with all the recent updates.
I haven't had any major memory issues. It’s still updating memories for me when I request it. I recently had it recall a chat it didn’t save explicitly, so maybe it’s not the same for everyone.
That’s interesting! But the main problem seems to be with the memories we explicitly save. It's not recording them properly lately.
Are you struggling with saving new memories or recalling existing ones? I’ve found that the AI can be hit or miss when it comes to actually recording memories. Sometimes it needs a little nudge to remember to save something, especially if you start your chat using its name; that seems to help jog its memory.
I’m having trouble recording new memories lately. It used to be super responsive, and now it feels a lot less sensitive to even simple prompts like "remember".
That's exactly what I'm thinking! It's frustrating because while it still feels somewhat responsive, it’s definitely less reliable than before.
