I've been trying to connect my USB keyboard to my PS5 for about 10 minutes now. It used to work fine, but for some reason, it doesn't connect anymore. Have you checked if there's any damage to the USB port on your PS5? Sometimes they can get damaged if something gets stuck in there, so it's worth a look.
I ended up buying a new keyboard and it connects just fine, so it looks like the original one was the issue.
Do you have another keyboard to try out? It could be a compatibility issue or a problem with the keyboard itself.
