Which Power Supply Should I Choose: Corsair CX550 or MSI MAG A650BN?

I'm trying to decide between two power supplies for my first ever PC purchase: the MSI MAG A650BN, which costs 5,600 BDT (about $45.62), and the Corsair CX550 priced at 4,900 BDT (around $39.91). Both are on sale, but I only have about 14-15 hours left before the discounts end, and I want to avoid going over my budget. My current system has a 200W PSU, but I want to plan for the future and gradually upgrade my setup, so I'm looking for something in the 500W+ range. The MSI PSU has 5 SATA connectors, which would be useful for adding storage and a CD-ROM, as well as messing around with my fan setup. I'd love to hear your thoughts on which one to choose!

500W is definitely a good target for future upgrades. Are you thinking about adding a modern GPU later?

Yeah, maybe in a few years. I’m planning to grab a used GTX 1050, which seems like the most affordable option for supporting 4:4:4 HEVC encoding.

I’d recommend going for the MSI MAG A650BN. It's a solid choice and gives you more flexibility with connections for upgrades.

Choosing between the CX550 and A650BN isn't straightforward. If it’s the latest version of the CX550, it’s a lower-end model with a platform that's not as sturdy as the higher wattage versions. The A-BN might have some local variations in quality depending on where you buy it. In some regions, it has downgraded capacitors that put it on par with the CX550 in quality. Consider opting for the one with a better warranty where you live.

Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I did read about the capacitors, but a good gold tier PSU is way out of my budget. I guess I’ll have to take my chances with whichever one I choose.
