Questions About 5060 Ti 16GB vs 9070 Performance and Features

I'm considering purchasing a 5060 Ti 16GB graphics card and I have a few specific questions:

1. If I can achieve 60fps without enabling the Frame Generation (FG) feature by tweaking the game settings, is it possible to activate FG only when the framerate drops below 60fps while V-Sync is on? My TV can only handle 4K at 60Hz.
2. Can I limit the Frame Generation to match my TV's maximum refresh rate? For example, if I want to play at 2K with 120fps and the game runs at 70fps without FG, enabling it will likely push it beyond 120fps. Is there a way to set limits to avoid screen tearing?
3. I've noticed significant 1% lows whenever FG is turned on. Is this something that can be improved? How noticeable is it during gameplay?
4. Lastly, I'm torn between the 5060 Ti 16GB for $560 and the 9070 (non-XT) for $650. Which one would you recommend and why?

Most games come with an FPS cap option. It's usually best to use that instead of relying on FG for extra frames. It helps keep your performance stable and manageable.

I’m not sure if limiting FPS works with FG since those frames are generated by the driver and the game doesn’t register them.

Enabling Frame Generation can definitely add latency, which is why you’re seeing those poor 1% lows. If you can keep your fps around 60, I'd recommend not using FG at all and just enjoy your gameplay cleanly without those extra artificial frames.
