What’s the best affordable way to securely connect to Autodesk Vault on Azure?

Hey folks! I'm currently working on setting up an Autodesk Vault Professional environment in Azure, and while the installation is going smoothly, I'm facing some challenges with allowing my customers remote access to the Vault client. The issues I'm encountering are: the standard Azure VPN Gateway options are really costly for small businesses—sometimes even pricier than the virtual machine itself! I'm looking for a way to allow users to securely connect from various locations with their dynamic IPs. I don't need a full VPN or desktop environment; I just want to ensure secure communication between the Vault client and server using basic ports like 80 and 443. Does Azure have a more lightweight and cost-effective solution for remote connections?

The basic SKU for the Azure VPN Gateway is actually less than $30 a month and can support 128 clients. That might be an option to consider, even if it seems pricey. But remember, the basic SKU has limitations like a 100 Mbps speed and can only be set up using the CLI or PowerShell, not directly from the portal. Just keep that in mind!

True, I wasn't aware that basic was still available either. But yeah, if you're looking for budget solutions, those specifics are key. It might be worth the extra steps if it saves you cash!
