Hey everyone, I'm about to finalize my new gaming PC build and could really use some extra eyes on it before I make the purchase. I've done a fair bit of research, but I want to be sure that I'm not overlooking anything significant. Here's what I've put together, all parts are available in Switzerland at reasonable prices:
**PCPartPicker List:** [Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2NCTBv)
### Build Components:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Cooler: Fractal Lumen S36 RGB V2 (360mm)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7
- RAM: 32GB (2x16) DDR5-6000 CL30 (EXPO)
- SSD: Crucial P510 2TB (PCIe 5.0)
- GPU: MSI RTX 5070 Ti INSPIRE 3X OC
- Case: Fractal Design North
- PSU: Seasonic Focus GX V4 850W (ATX 3.0)
- Monitor: Alienware AW3423DWF (3440x1440 / 165Hz)
### Use Case:
I'm mostly going to be gaming with this setup, focusing on AAA titles and maybe some casual FPS games. My goal is to run games at high or ultra settings on 1440p ultrawide and to have this rig last for a few years without needing upgrades.
### Specific Feedback Requests:
1. **Case & Cooling:** Will the 360mm AIO fit properly in the Fractal North? Is there enough airflow for this CPU and GPU?
2. **PSU Headroom:** Is 850W sufficient for the 5070 Ti and 9800X3D, or should I bump it to 1000W?
3. **SSD Choice:** Is the Crucial P510 (PCIe 5.0) unnecessary for gaming? Would a good Gen4 SSD suffice?
4. **RAM:** Is the choice of 6000 CL30 (EXPO) the right pick since it seems optimal for AM5?
5. **Overall Balance:** Are any components overkill or poor value? Any hidden bottlenecks that I should be aware of?
### Extra Context:
I'm not looking to do heavy overclocking. I want a setup that's stable and simply works without much fuss. Noise is a factor, but I'm not aiming for a silent build.

1. The Fractal North can fit a 360mm AIO in the front without any issues. You're good there!
2. 850W should be plenty for your setup. It’s a solid power supply that can handle the load just fine.
3. As for the Crucial P510, going with PCIe 5.0 isn’t really necessary just for gaming. You'd be better off with a good Gen4 SSD; the performance difference isn't noticeable in most games.
4. That RAM speed (6000 CL30) is great for AM5—should serve you well!
5. Your build looks balanced overall. Just relax about bottlenecks; it should perform beautifully as is!
Exactly! I read that for gaming, you're not really pushing it close to the limits with that setup.
The North case allows for 360mm radiators, and I tested out one myself. I ended up opting for a 240mm AIO positioned at the top to keep cooler air flowing over the GPU—might be worth considering!
850W is fine for your rig, but if you want extra peace of mind, bumping it to 1000W could be beneficial for future upgrades or heavy loads.
That’s a great idea! I’ll look into doing the AIO on top for better airflow.

Thanks for clarifying that! I've been second-guessing myself on the PSU, but good to know it’ll work.
