I'm having a weird issue with my Windows 11 system. It all started when I noticed that pressing the Windows key didn't open the taskbar as it should; instead, it started opening my browser and searching for Windows help. After restarting, it seemed to fix itself, but then the problems returned. Now, my search bar flickers, and I can't click on it to type anything. Additionally, none of my keyboard shortcuts are working – I can't even open Task Manager! The only thing that works is double-clicking to open programs, but window interactions are completely unresponsive. I even unplugged my keyboard to check for stuck keys, but it didn't help. I can't even shut down normally. Any advice?

Glad to hear that a hard shutdown worked for you! It could have been a temporary glitch, but if it happens again, keep an eye on what you have running on your machine. Sometimes, conflicting software can cause these types of input problems. If it recurs, it might be worth checking for any recent updates or drivers.
Have you tried restarting your PC a second time? Sometimes a simple restart can resolve these ghost input issues. Make sure you shut it down properly – if you can’t use the shutdown menu, hold down the power button for a hard shutdown, which can also help.
First, check your accessibility settings. Open Settings, go to Accessibility, then Keyboard, and make sure that Filter Keys and Sticky Keys are turned off. If they’re both off and the issue persists, try using the on-screen keyboard to see if that works. You can also access Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar and selecting it from the context menu.
