Hey there! I'm trying to figure out whether my Gigabyte GA-H81M-H rev 2.1 motherboard can work with Xeon processors. It supports 4th generation Intel CPUs using the LGA1150 socket, but I'm unsure if that means it can also take Xeon chips from the same generation. Will I need to do any special configuration or updates on the BIOS? And if it is compatible, which Xeon processors would you suggest? Thanks a lot for your help!

Just a heads up, you might want to reconsider sticking to that platform. The CPUs available are quite old, around 13 to 14 years, and might not offer the best performance for modern tasks.

Yes, your motherboard does support some Xeon CPUs. You can check the CPU compatibility list on the Gigabyte website for details. By the way, what are you hoping to achieve with this upgrade?
