I spilled soda on my laptop's keyboard while gaming. The cap came off, and I immediately turned it off, unplugged it, and flipped it upside down. I spent about 20 minutes cleaning it and have it propped upside-down with paper towels to soak up any leftover liquid. I'm wondering if I need to take it apart to clean any internal components. The spill was mostly confined to the keyboard, and I didn't see any liquid getting into the internal parts. Are there any additional steps I should take, like opening it up or getting it checked out? I've learned my lesson and won't have drinks near my laptop again!

It's recommended to open it up and carefully clean inside with some isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs, then let it dry for at least 12 hours. While the seals might hold, there’s a reason why most people suggest checking inside – better safe than sorry! If you're up for it, go for it!
I’ll try to open it up to the best of my ability, then. Thanks!
