Is it worth trading my PS5 for a graphics card while upgrading my first PC?

I just received an old PC from my brother, which he built around 2018 or 2019. He insisted everything is functional, and I confirmed it works after purchasing a power supply and a cooler. Now I'm in a bit of a dilemma: he offered to trade me a 4070 Ti Super for my PS5 Pro. I know my PS5 is quite powerful, so I'm hesitant to let it go. I'm curious about what upgrades I should consider for the PC, especially since I'm a complete newbie at this. I do need a monitor, and I'm hoping to spend around $500. Any advice on what parts to upgrade first and why would really help!

Honestly, your PS5 Pro is likely going to outperform that PC for gaming, especially with the current hardware. If you’re set on keeping it, maybe look into upgrading the CPU to something like a Ryzen 5700X. The GTX 1070 in the PC is getting pretty old too, so that'll probably need an upgrade soon as well.

That makes sense! I've been thinking of sticking with the PS5 for a while, just don’t want to miss out on PC gaming.
