I have an All-in-One model 22-b013w that I've wiped, and now I want to install Linux Mint. However, I can't log into the previous Windows 10 installation. I'm trying to access the BIOS to change the boot order to USB first, but every time I boot the machine and hit the escape key or press F10, I just get a black screen. When I try to boot from my Linux thumb drive, it takes me to a Linux prompt rather than the installation environment I had previously. Is there something I might be missing, or could my BIOS be corrupted and in need of a reflash?

It sounds like you're on the right track by trying to access the BIOS with the escape key. Just make sure you’re pressing it right after powering on. Sometimes, it's a timing issue. Also, when you hit escape and get the boot menu, try looking for an option to access BIOS settings there instead of just F10 alone. That could help you check your boot sequence more easily.

Yeah, that's what I did! Hitting escape gave me more options, and I was able to get into the BIOS settings from there.
