I've been holding off on updating my Windows 11 since November because of all the issues the updates have been causing recently. My computer is now prompting me to update, stating, "Your device is missing important security updates." I'm currently running version 24H2 and have heard some concerning things about 25H2. I'm looking for advice on whether it's safe to go ahead with the latest update and if anyone else has encountered issues with it. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

Every Windows version tends to have its fair share of update complaints, but in my opinion, it's just part of using the OS. If you’re worried about updating, just keep your backups handy, as that's always good practice.
From my experience, the panic about update issues tends to be exaggerated. Most of the problems you read about usually affect a small fraction of users with unique setups. Microsoft monitors updates carefully, and you can check their release health page for more accurate information about ongoing issues.
I'd say go for the update! I've supported numerous systems and the latest version 25H2 hasn't caused any problems for us at all. Most concerns you read about online often pertain to specific setups or outdated software. Just remember to create a restore point first!
I haven't experienced any major issues with the latest updates. I've kept all my computers up to date, and while I occasionally hear about minor glitches with services like OneDrive or Teams, they've always been resolved quickly. It's a good idea to back up your data and create a restore point before updating, just to be safe.
