I recently got my hands on a 9070XT graphics card and was initially set on buying the 9800X3D processor. However, it seems to be either sold out or priced way above what I'm willing to pay. With my friend visiting from California in early June to help me build my PC, I'm in a bit of a bind. I'm now considering the 7800X3D as a backup choice. I usually play games like POE2, D4, Warzone, and various RPGs. Do you all think the 7800X3D would work well with the 9070XT and be a solid second option?

If you're playing mostly at 1080p, the 7800X3D is definitely a good move. However, if you plan on gaming at 1440p or 4K, the 9700X could still deliver great performance at a lower price. Just something to consider!
Thanks for the heads up! I’m leaning towards 4K gaming myself.
Just a quick tip: if you're still keeping an eye on the 9800X3D, there have been some deals popping up online lately, so keep looking! But if time is tight, the 7800X3D is a solid choice. Best of luck with your build!
Thanks! I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled.
Appreciate the advice! I might have to pull the trigger on the 7800X3D soon.
Your gaming style will definitely benefit from the X3D cache in the 7800X3D, especially for a game like Warzone. It's going to handle those high-demand scenarios like a champ!
Exactly! I think you'll feel a noticeable boost in performance with that setup.
Absolutely! The X3D really shines in CPU-heavy games, and Warzone is no exception.
Honestly, don't overlook the 9700X if you're looking for better value. It's still a very capable processor and often comes cheaper than the 7800X3D. Depending on what games you're playing, you might not see a significant difference.
I've been using a 9700X with my current setup and I barely face any bottlenecks. It's perfect for 1080p gaming.
Exactly! The 9700X is still strong enough for most games. Don't let the hype steer you wrong.
Absolutely! The 7800X3D is considered the second-best gaming CPU out there right now after the 9800X3D. If you can't get your hands on the 9800, you'll still be in great shape with the 7800. It’ll give you a fantastic gaming experience across all the titles you mentioned.
Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about it. It's solid for gaming even at 4K.
Completely agree! Plus, if you ever want to upgrade down the line, you'll be set with AM5.
Yeah, definitely check some benchmarks to see how they perform at different resolutions.
