Is This a Good Deal on a Gaming PC Setup?

I'm looking at a deal for a gaming PC that includes an RTX 3060 12GB, a Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and an ASUS B550 motherboard for $500. There's also an option to buy it without the GPU for $375. I'm wondering if this is a good price overall. If I decide to buy my own GPU instead, what could be the potential bottlenecks in this setup? Also, what GPU would you recommend for playing games like Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders on an ultrawide monitor at 1440p?

Honestly, I don't think that's a great deal. You might wanna look for better options. The components are decent, but I'd recommend a bundle from places like Microcenter and getting your own GPU separately. The 3060 with that CPU isn't going to give you high frame rates at 1440p either.

Yeah, I agree with you. A newer Zen 3 CPU like the 5600X would really make a difference, plus consider upgrading to 32GB of RAM for better performance.

Trying to game at 1440x3440 with that setup could be tough. I’d say you’d want at least a 3080 for minimum performance. Like you mentioned, the 3060 would probably hold you back a lot on higher settings.

That price isn't fantastic. The GPU value seems to sit around $200-$225, while the CPU, RAM, and motherboard might be worth about $175-$200. So $500 isn't bad if those parts are solid and not in a terrible case or with a poor power supply. But don't expect to crank up the settings on high at 3440x1440—it'll likely struggle with that resolution.
