Hey everyone! I'm looking to start burning CDs for gifts and personal use, but I'm a bit confused about whether my old HP Pavilion notebook can actually do this. It has a CD player, but I'm not sure if it has the capability to burn CDs. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks a lot!

Check your system information for the optical drive details; it should tell you what type of drive it is. If you see any logos indicating CD writing capabilities like CD-R or CD-RW, then you’re good to go!

Look for the logos on the front of the CD tray. If it mentions CD-R, CD-RW, or DVD+-R, then you're in luck! You might need a program like Nero to actually burn the CDs, but it may have come pre-installed on your laptop.

This is definitely the way to go!
