My Asus UX563FD Touchpad Screen Won’t Work – Help!

Hey everyone! I'm having an issue with my Asus UX563FD laptop, where the touchpad screen has completely stopped working. I can't recall if I did anything specific that could have caused this. I've tried reinstalling ScreenXpert and other drivers related to the touchpad, but that didn't help. I also performed a complete hard reset, but the screen remains non-functional. When I attempt to activate the touchpad screen using the F" key, it just lights up but displays a black screen. Today, I received a new error that says "screenxpertwallpapersettings.exe missing," but I can't find any info on that online. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix? Thanks a lot! 👾

Have you tried performing a clean install of Windows or testing with a live Linux distro? Depending on how your touch screen is integrated, testing with Linux might provide some insights, but it might not be everything.

I actually did a full Windows reinstall during the hard reset. I wiped the hard drive and set everything back up, but it still didn't help.

I had the same issue with my ASUS laptop. The way I solved it might sound a bit extreme, but I ended up just throwing it away. Not the best advice, I know, but it was my last resort!
