My Audio Keeps Failing on Linux Mint – Need Help!

I recently installed Linux Mint and everything was working fine at first boot, but then the audio just stopped. After some troubleshooting with an AI assistant, I thought I had it fixed, but now the issue has returned after a few restarts. I'm looking for some help to sort this out. Anyone got any ideas?

Stop following AI fixes blindly! I'd recommend reinstalling PipeWire or PulseAudio, which could solve many common audio problems. If you're using Bluetooth headphones, don’t forget to reinstall bluedevil too. If it continues to be an issue, reinstalling Linux Mint might be a solid option for a clean start.

First off, try reversing whatever changes the AI suggested; it seems like it might not have been the best advice. Also, when you say 'Audio no work', can you give a bit more detail? What exactly are you experiencing? That will help folks help you better!

It looks like you haven't shared much about your hardware setup, which makes it hard to pinpoint the issue. From what I've gathered, you have an older Intel CPU (6700 HQ). I’ve dealt with similar problems on a 7700 HQ, and it's likely an issue with Intel's software rather than Mint itself. You might face the same audio issues no matter the distro. I found a solution related to this in another post if you're interested!
