I'm aiming to get an RX 9070 XT for 1440p gaming on an OLED display, but I want to keep costs down on the CPU to maximize frames per dollar. Here are the CPUs I'm considering with their prices:

- Ryzen 5 7500F (€125)
- Ryzen 5 7600X (€160)
- Ryzen 5 9600X (€215)
- Ryzen 7 7700X (€230)
- Ryzen 7 9700X (€290)
- Ryzen 7 7800X3D (€370)
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D (€440).

Which one gives the best performance for my setup?

I've had great results with the 7600X paired with my 9070 XT. Definitely a beast!

If you're mainly playing AAA titles along with some competitive ones, I'd highly suggest the Ryzen 7600X. It's a solid performer and offers great value for what you pay. Just check out this performance video for a clearer idea!

I'm expecting to play mostly AAA games and some competitive ones like Rocket League and Valorant.

At the end of the day, go for whichever one fits your budget between the 7600X, 9600X, 7800X3D, or 9800X3D. They’re all solid picks!

Honestly, if you're focused on gaming, the 7500F, 7800X3D, and 9800X3D are all fantastic in their respective price brackets. The 7500F and 7800X3D currently give the best FPS per dollar, so consider those!

I've been using a 7600X too and it's phenomenal. But if you want to save some bucks and don’t need an integrated GPU, go for the 7500F.

For the best price-to-performance ratio, you should definitely look at the Ryzen 7500F or 7600X. I wouldn’t advise going below the 7600X, though. The 7800X3D is excellent if you plan to upgrade your GPU for 4K gaming in the future, but if you want to save now, stick with the 7600X. The v-cache on the 7800X3D won’t bottleneck any games and could enhance performance.
