Help! Just Upgraded My GPU and Now I Have No Display – What’s Going On?

I recently made my first upgrade to my PC by installing a new GPU, the RTX 2060, but now there's no display on either the new or my old GPU (the GT 730). The power supply is HP1-J600GD-F12S (600W), and while the fans are spinning, the power button doesn't turn off the PC. Am I missing something or did I mess something up?

Make sure to do the basics first: try a different HDMI cable if you have one, and also reseat your RAM. A lot of times, these simple fixes can do the trick!

Good news! Reseating the RAM worked for the old GPU, and I'm going to try it with the new one now. Sorry if my post was kinda silly; I just wanted to be cautious since this is all new to me.

Thanks! I’ll give reseating the RAM a shot and let you know how it goes.

Don’t forget to inspect your cables! They can get damaged or loose during swaps. It'd be a good idea to check that everything is securely connected, especially if your new GPU needs a dedicated power cable.

My GT 730 never needed a cable, but how can I tell if any of my cables are damaged?

First off, make sure to check the connections. If your motherboard has an HDMI port, try connecting your monitor there instead of the GPU. It could help isolate the issue.

I tried that but no luck. Thanks anyway!
