Looking for Micro ATX Motherboard with 3 M.2 Slots—Is ASUS a Good Choice?

I've been using ASRock motherboards for a while, but I'm facing some annoying USB disconnect issues. I've already changed my GPU and PSU, and everything else seems to be working fine. I'm thinking it might just be a problem with ASRock boards. I had some bad experiences with OpenRGB possibly messing things up too.

I want to switch to a different brand and am interested in motherboard options. Gigabyte doesn't have an mATX board with 3 M.2 slots, and MSI's selection seems just as limited. The only board I've found that ticks all my boxes is the ASUS TUF Gaming B850M-PLUS, which offers more USB ports too. However, I've noticed a lot of negativity about ASUS in various discussions. I'm not concerned about warranty or support, just want to know if ASUS has resolved most of the issues people have criticized in the past. Is this board a solid choice for reliability and performance?

I’ve used both ASUS B550 and B850 boards, and they've been great. No issues to report with either.

The TUF Gaming B850M-PLUS is a solid board. I've been on the B650M-plus WiFi for three years, and it’s been rock solid for me.

I’ve built four PCs with ASUS motherboards over the years, and they’ve all been smooth sailing with zero complaints. If the ASUS TUF Gaming B850M-PLUS has the features you need, I’d say go for it!

The MSI B850M Mortar and Mpower both come with three M.2 slots as well. That might be worth considering!

The ASUS B850-G is an excellent option! I’m running it with a 9950X3D and three NVMe drives, and I’ve had no problems. Just a heads up that the B850-M has a second PCIe slot, so make sure it fits in your case, depending on GPU size.

You should also check out the MSI B850M POWER. It's a fantastic value, but you can only get it directly from MSI's site. Definitely worth a look!
