Why won’t my Samsung Galaxy J7 Max accept my unlock pattern after a restart?

Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my Samsung Galaxy J7 Max. Everything was working fine until I locked my screen for a few minutes. When I tried to unlock it, my pattern was suddenly recognized as incorrect, even though I know I'm entering it correctly. I could still use my fingerprint to unlock it, but after restarting the phone, I can only unlock it with the pattern first. Now, the pattern still isn't being accepted! I've been using this same unlock pattern for years without issues. Has anyone else dealt with something like this? I'm looking for advice on how to fix it without losing any of my data. Thanks!

If all else fails, a factory reset could help, but make sure to back up your data first.

You might want to try cleaning your screen thoroughly. Sometimes, dirt or even small cracks can cause the touch sensors to misread your inputs.

I do have a protector on my screen, so that might not be the issue.
