My PC Crashes to Black Screen When Playing RDR2 – What Should I Do?

Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble with my computer while playing Red Dead Redemption 2. I've got a Ryzen 7 5700x processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and an RX 6600 XT graphics card, with the game installed on an NVME SSD and running on Windows 10. For the past week, whenever I play RDR2 for longer than about 10 minutes, my computer crashes to a black screen and then restarts. I've checked the Event Viewer and found Event 41, but I'm not sure what that means. I've already tried reinstalling the game, Windows, and my display drivers, but nothing seems to work. Any advice on how to fix this? I appreciate it!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a power supply issue. If your PSU isn't providing enough power for your components when they demand more during gaming, it could lead to those crashes. Have you tried running a stress test to see if the PSU is stable? It might be worth checking its wattage capacity against your system requirements.

I play other resource-demanding games without issues, so I wasn't sure it was the PSU. What’s a good way to test if it's causing the problem?
