I'm currently using Premiere Pro 2020, and I'm facing a frustrating issue. The software opens up fine, but when I try to import a video clip, it freezes during the process and eventually crashes. This is the first time I'm encountering such a problem. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but the issue persists. I suspect it might be related to my computer rather than Premiere itself. Any advice on how to resolve this?

It sounds like you might need to provide more info about your situation. Did that clip ever import correctly before? Are other clips with the same encoding working, or is it just this one? You could also try opening that problematic file in another app to see if it's corrupted or not.
Have you tried running the program as an administrator? Sometimes that can make a difference. Also, check your drive space—if your C drive is full, that can cause issues too!
