Help! My FPS Dropped After Using CRU, How Can I Fix This?

I recently tried using CRU to push my LG C5 TV's refresh rate from 144Hz to 165Hz, but when that didn't work, I reset everything back to the original settings. After doing that, I noticed a significant drop in my average framerate when launching games; it seems stuck at around 60fps, even if I try to run them uncapped or at higher settings. I've used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to address the issue, but it remains only for games. My TV still shows 144Hz for everything else on the PC. How can I restore normal FPS or prevent this strange 60fps baseline when gaming?

Have you tried using system restore to go back to a point before you installed CRU? That might help resolve any lingering settings changes. You can look up how to access system restore for Windows 11 if you're not sure.

I actually tried that as a last resort, but it didn't work.
