Should I Upgrade to an RTX 3060 or RTX 4060?

I recently bought a second-hand PC for £62 after trading in my Xbox, making the overall cost around £300. It plays all my games well, but I occasionally experience stutters, and I believe upgrading the graphics card would significantly improve my gaming experience. I'm unsure what the power supply unit (PSU) is since it's hidden, but I might need to upgrade to a 600W PSU too. I've been looking at graphics cards around £300, preferably from CeX, and was initially advised to go for the RTX 3060. However, I've noticed the RTX 4060 is available at a similar price. Are there any other options you'd recommend?

I recommend considering the RTX 3070. It outperforms both the 3060 and 4060 and is close to the performance of a 5060. It would be a great upgrade for your needs.

You can actually find both the RTX 3080 and 3070 for under £300 on eBay. It’s worth checking those options out!

Definitely look into the 70 series for the best performance. The ranking goes like this: 3060 < 4060 < 3070 < 4070. Even if you’re not a big AAA gamer, investing in better hardware now will save you from needing upgrades too soon.

I’ve seen some RTX 3070 cards going for about £245-£250 at CeX. Depending on your location, I even have a 3080 I’m selling!

For £250, I’d jump on that 3080 offer!
