What upgrades should I consider for my gaming and video editing PC?

I'm looking for advice on potential upgrades for my gaming and video editing setup. My current specs include: a Merc 310 RX 7900XTX graphics card, an Intel i9 14900 KF CPU, an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240 CPU cooler, 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz, an MSI MPG 1000W power supply, a Gigabyte Z790 Gaming Plus motherboard, and a Corsair 4000D airflow mid tower case. I typically play a range of games, from heavily modded Minecraft to Elden Ring and Red Dead Redemption 2. I don't have a need for 4K gaming, so I'm curious if there's any component I should upgrade or if I'm good as is.

If you're thinking about changing components, consider upgrading the motherboard and CPU to something like an X870 plus an R9 9950X3D. But really, it all comes down to your budget and if you feel like there's a genuine need for it.

Your PC is actually really solid as it stands. Even the top-end parts available are just slightly better. Are you experiencing any issues with your current setup? If your CPU is getting hot in certain games, you might want to check your cooler. A more powerful cooler could help, but overall, you're in a good place.

Honestly, you might not need any upgrades. Your 7900XTX is still one of the best cards out there, and unless you're considering the latest 5090, you're not going to see significant performance improvements. Most modern components provide only marginal gains over what you already have.

You've got a killer setup that's ready to handle anything you throw at it! If you aren't running into performance issues, I'd say you're good. Just focus on enjoying your games!

I'm surprised you’re not facing overheating issues with just a 240mm AIO cooler! Of course, it tends to heat up more in a couple of games, but it's great that it hasn't caused any shutdowns. Just keep an eye on those temps!
