I'm really stumped here. I bought my PS5 used back in May 2025 and I've only used it a few times. It was working fine until last night when I played, but now it won't display anything on my TV. The Xbox One I'm using in the same ports and with the same HDMI cables works perfectly. I tried switching cables and ports for the PS5, even tried safe mode, but nothing seems to work. It briefly shows the screen for about 2-5 seconds before going dark again. Any advice? I took great care when unplugging and plugging it back in since I saved up for it during summer. Help me out, guys!

I had a similar issue! My PS5 was working fine yesterday, but today it won’t stay on. It shows a brief image on the TV and then goes dark. It sounds like you need to give more details about the issue. Just saying the Xbox works doesn’t explain what your PS5 is doing. Can you describe exactly what happens when you try to start it up?
It's a bit silly, but try reversing the HDMI cable—switch the ends that connect to the console and the TV. Sometimes that helps!
