Why won’t my new GPU turn on with my PSU?

I recently got a new GPU, the 9070 XT, and a 1000W PSU. However, when I try to power on my PC, nothing happens except for the motherboard RGB lights coming on as soon as I plug it in. I've done some troubleshooting and discovered that everything works fine when the GPU isn't connected. It seems like the GPU is receiving power, as the lights next to the power connectors light up when it's plugged in without power cables. I've even tried removing the CMOS battery to see if that helps.

Did you make sure to use the correct PSU cables for your new setup? Sometimes, if you don't switch out the old cables for the new ones that come with the PSU, it can lead to issues like this.

This might sound a bit unconventional, but have you tried rearranging your PCIe power cables? You could try connecting one half on one cable and the other half on a different cable. Bizarre solutions sometimes help with strange problems!
