Hey everyone! I'm about to start my first PC build and I'm feeling a bit anxious after reading some overheating reports about the RTX 5070 from Igor's Lab. I've got the non-Ti version, not the overclocked model, but I scored it at MSRP. My aim with this build is to stream games at 1440p and do some video encoding, which I think this GPU can handle well.

A good tip is to undervolt your RTX 5070. If you’re not sure how, there are some simple guides on YouTube that can help. Just be cautious with any modifications that might void your warranty. The RTX 5070 consumes less power compared to the Ti version, so hopefully, it won't have drastic overheating problems. Just keep an eye on temps, especially since it lacks a hotspot sensor.
The power consumption was definitely a plus for me too! I've got a Corsair RM850 PSU which is solid for any upgrades later. Considering adding a few extra case fans to help with cooling the GPU hotspot, and I’m glad to hear I can practice on a cheaper card before diving into any tear-downs!
