I just got a new Palit 5080 Gaming Pro, and I've been experiencing some bottlenecking issues while gaming at 2K resolution. I'm considering upgrading from my Ryzen 7 7700 to a 7800X3D but I'm unsure if this would significantly improve my performance. Do I need to go for the 7800X3D, or should I look into the 9800X3D instead?

From what I've seen, at 1440p, the 9800X3D only has about a 10% increase in average FPS compared to what's currently available. It doesn't seem like the 1% lows are that different either, so I’d say the upgrade might not be as impactful as you expect.

Do you think the upgrade from a Ryzen 7 7700 would give a significant performance boost? I've seen various benchmarks showing different results, so I'm trying to grasp if the difference is actually noticeable in real-world gaming.
